Why Cardio Sucks for Fat Loss

Aerobic exercise INCREASES our ghrelin levels (our hunger hormone) which means cardio makes you hungry!  Go for a 5-mile run or long bike ride and watch your hunger soar!

Doing a crap-load of cardio may be okay for fat loss in the short-term but it stinks for sustainable, lasting results.  Not only does cardiovascular training make you more hungry, it doesn't really help improve your BMR or basal metabolic rate.

Your BMR is your resting metabolic rate.  It's how many calories your body consumes while sleeping and while just functioning.  People with MORE muscle mass have a higher BMR which means they do a much better job of burning up calories while resting, sleeping (and not even exercising).
