I used to do this exercise every week back in high school and college with good results...

I got stronger shoulders AND it helped me on the bench press.

And then something happened...

Strength coaches and experts every where began knocking this exercise due to its potentially dangerous range of motion and possible negative effects on the shoulder joint.

So it became a forgotten exercise in the gym and many guys abandoned this hugely popular exercise for good.
