Complying With Your Attacker Can Be Suicide!

Published: Tue, 06/30/15

For many years now there has been a number of well-meaning
“experts” who have suggested, particularly to women, “If you’re
ever attacked, don’t fight back. You’ll only make him angry.”

This may sound a little off topic coming from a strength
and health authority, but getting physically attacked
can certainly be harmful to your health, don't you agree?

Former SWAT Commander Mike Gillette recently
explained to me why complying with your attacker
can be suicide!
 Here we go.....

There are several problems with this type of thinking.

First of all, a criminal assault is not the act of someone who is
calm. An attacker is already angry.

The idea of trying not to antagonize an attacker further takes an
already dangerous situation and makes it WORSE. It creates a
climate where you deliberately make yourself agreeable to the
wishes of the attacker.

By doing this, you are completely at his mercy.

You have now removed yourself from any active role in your
own survival!

This is what Mike Gillette refers to as “Suicide Via Compliance”.

Ultimately, the criminal will need to control your actions in
order to carry out his assault. By complying, you just made
it easier for him.

Fighting back does not make things worse. Crime statistics
consistently support this fact. Fighting back or attempting to
escape is the highest percentage option you have for surviving
a violent attack.

Fighting back should be done at your first opportunity. Do not
wait before taking action. As soon as you realize there is a
problem, flee.

If you can’t flee, fight back.

Never wait to act and NEVER let yourself be taken to another
location.

Statistically, if a criminal tries to move a victim to a more secluded
location, he is planning a sexual assault and/or murder. You will
never have a better chance of escaping the situation than in the
first few seconds of an attack.

Let’s recap most important things to remember…

1. Always try to escape!

2. Fight back immediately!

3. Never allow yourself to be taken to another location.

4. Never, ever give up!

Keep training hard,
