Yoga Mat Bread at Subway!

Published: Thu, 08/21/14

Isn't it crazy how shady nutrition labels can be
on the foods we eat?

Specifically I'm talking about the ingredient lists.

Sometimes the list of ingredients is super long, filled
with items I've never heard of and can't even pronounce.

The truth is there are a lot of toxic ingredients in our foods.

The FDA does not even require food companies to let us
know whether a product contains GMOs (Genetically
Modified Organisms).

Crazy, right?

Here's one of the strangest things I saw on Facebook
last week. Somebody posted that Subway bread
uses an ingredient called azodicarbonamide which is
the same ingredient used to make yoga mats!

Of course this ingredient is banned in most countries
but not in the US.

Don't just assume that everything contained in your
food is safe. If you see something strange on the label
and you don't know what it is, look it up in this handy
Toxic Food Ingredient reference guide.

Toxic Food Ingredient Reference Guide <----- Look Up Strange Ingredients

It's your responsibility to know what you and your family
are "actually" eating.

One thing I really like about the Toxic Food Ingredient
Guide is that it tells you what foods commonly contain
some of the most dangerous ingredients and gives you
some "substitutions" you can make for healthier options.

I'll end things with some good news. After a food petition
started by a blogger, Subway has agreed to formulate a
new bread that does not contain the plastic chemical that is
also used in shoe soles and yoga mats.

What about the rest of the food you're eating?
