Finishers

Yesterday I took the team to go see the new 300 Movie -
The Rise of an Empire in 3D.
It was pretty sick (awesome & demented). We loved it.
There were lots of "Finisher" moves just like in the
Mortal Combat video game I used to play in college.
You've almost wiped out your opponent and to finish him
off you'd tear out his spinal cord and slam him to the ground
for the win. You know, that kind of thing.
In fitness we have "Finishers" too. They are used to replace
45-minute cardio sessions on the treadmill, bike or other
cardio machine.
This page shows you the research that proves finishers
are even more effective than slow go cardio.
Below is an example of a finisher that you can add
to the end of your regular power-building workout
for your cardio.
You can also do this as an extra workout on a day you
are taking off from the weights for accelerated fat
burning.
Here's a sample "Finisher"workout.
The 250 Bodyweight Finisher
Do the following circuit ONE time, resting only when
needed. The next time you do this finisher, try to beat
your previous time it took you to complete it.
Bodyweight Squats (30)
Pushups (30)
Alternating Bodyweight Chops (15/side)
Bodysaw (30)
Skater Hops (15/side)
Jumping Jacks (100)

Personally this is what I recommend to my clients.
Are you in the same boat as me? Busy with work, family
and other responsibilities? I just don't have hours and
hours per day to workout like I did in the past.
That's why these Finisher cardio sessions are a perfect
fit for my workouts. You can plug them into any program
you're currently doing.
Have a great day.
