Down The Muscle Building RABBIT HOLE (how deep ya wanna go?)
Published: Wed, 08/15/12
The question I answered was from a kid who notices
that his upper abs are overly developed in relation to
the other, deeper, ab muscles.
that his upper abs are overly developed in relation to
the other, deeper, ab muscles.
This has created a situation where his posture has
become damaged and he is suffering from kinetic
chain injuries.
As a random side note he mentioned that he has
acid reflux disease.
acid reflux disease.
BINGO!
Although the kid wanted me to share the best exercises
and stretches for him to do... I zeroed in on the obvious
root cause of his muscular imbalance!
root cause of his muscular imbalance!
The acid reflux is a "Physiological" dysfunction that is
the cause of his muscluo-skeletal imbalance.
This idea may seem crazy to some people.
But they really have no idea just how DEEP the rabbit hole
of building muscular strength really is.
of building muscular strength really is.
They see muscles... and it stops there.
And even the way they see the muscles is very limited.
They take no care to understand the basic anatomy and
biomechanics of the muscular and skeletal systems.
And understanding that would free them from the slavery
of pain, injuries, pill popping, surgeries and living a life
below their potential.
If you're asking yourself... "where do I begin with learning
this stuff?"
Then you're ready to get started.
