2 x Per Week Workout Routine

My dad has a pretty harsh saying that he used to repeat often
when I was a kid.

Whenever I yielded to the aggression or desires of another
kid, even if it opposed my will or what I thought was right,
my dad would remind me that...

"Nice guys finish last!"

At first I used to think my dad was just mean and arrogant.

Later I came to a better understanding of what he actually meant.

Basically, if you are not careful about WHEN and HOW you
yield to others they will tend to think you are of weak character
and potentially walk all over you!

Like when I was a young trainer.  My clients would complain that
my five-day-per-week workout routines were too difficult for them
to make time for.

They expected the same results by training only two days per
week as if they were training five days per week!

And as a young businessman who wanted to keep my customers
happy I simply yielded to their demands and still promised them
great results.

And of course, their results were poor.  So they blamed me and left
to go train elsewhere.

"Nice guys finish last!"

The first mistake I made was to compromise my values.

I should have never let them dictate how I run my training business.

The second, and bigger, mistake I made was to not do some research
on how to make 2 x Per Week Workouts, work.

Lets face it... you are busy.

Heck, EVERYONE is busy!

Eric Cressey is one of the best strength coaches in the country.

He knows his sh*t and sticks to his guns every time.

He also realizes that most people don't have time to train five days
per week

So he designs programs that squeeze the maximum results out of the
minimum amount of time...

Like in his 2 x Per Week Show & Go routine.

This seems to me as one of the most powerful methods for getting solid
muscle building results if you have serious time constraints.

As a trainer to professional athletes, Eric gets paid on performance
RESULTS.

So, he can't afford to make stupid program design mistakes.

His entire Show & Go Training system is based on the type of precision
workouts that he designs for pro baseball and football players.

What he as done with the 2 x Per Week routine was to take the best of
the best workouts and mix them into a double weekly regimen.

You can see all of his workouts and a few other things he's offering over
on this website.

In the meantime... I'm still not 100% sure if nice guys always finish last.

But I'll keep experimenting and let you know my results ;)
